What is the red button on a poly headset? ›

Notice the red button on the microphone is to mute the mic. The button on the top of the headset will allow you to choose ANC which is active noise cancelling. The switch shows off/low(1)/high(2) Note: You can wear the headset with the mic on the left or right side. The mic should be muted when in the up position.

Start with your headset powered on. Press and hold the call control button for 5 or 6 seconds until the light starts flashing red and blue (some models flash red and white). Release the button and set the headset aside. Follow the pairing instructions for your cell phone or other Bluetooth device.

To pair a Bluetooth headset, speaker, or other audio device
