Introduction

  • Masters must complete First Singularity: Orleans (Section 1) to gain access to the 17M DL Celebration Ticket, which can be used to exchange for 1 (ONE) eligible 5* SSR Servant.
  • Exchange Period: 4/14/2022 21:00 - 5/30/2022 20:59 PDT
  • 5* SSR Servants are Temporary until the Permanent requirements are met! Requirements:
    • 1) Ascend the exchanged 5* Servant at least once
    • 2) Reach Bond Lv5 (or higher) with the exchanged 5* Servant
    • Deadline: 6/15/2022 20:59 PDT: The free 5* Servant will disappear if the above two conditions are not met.
    • Special Notes: If the exchanged Servant is already owned and already satisfies the above requirements, the requirements will already be met for the new copy.
  • A total of 25 Servants are eligible, all of which are Non-Limited Servants.

Which Servant Should I Pick?

  • Please ignore the below advice if you already have a favorite Servant you wish to pick. Love triumphs above all.
  • In general, if Waver (Zhuge Liang) isn't in the roster yet, he is the highest priority for the sake of convenience, being an excellent all-around support that can slot into essentially any team. Don't pick him if you already have a copy, though.
  • Otherwise, it can be a good idea to get a Servant with a Class that you don't currently have a 5* (SSR) Servant for, particularly Damage Dealers. At least one of almost every base class is available in the pool:
    • Saber: Altera, Altria, Mordred (all AoE)
    • Archer: Arjuna (AoE), Orion (ST), Napoleon (AoE)
    • Lancer: Enkidu (ST), Karna (AoE), Bradamante (AoE)
    • Rider: Achilles (AoE), Europa (AoE), Ozymandias (ST), Francis Drake (AoE)
    • Caster: Anastasia (AoE), Xuanzang (ST), Caster of the Nightless City (AoE)
    • Assassin: Jack the Ripper (ST)
    • Berserker: Vlad III (ST), Xiang Yu (AoE)

  • Don't forget to Bond Lv5 + Ascend (at least once) your free Servant! They are temporary and will disappear on 6/15/2022 20:59 PDT otherwise.

Pros:

  • Solid AoE Buster Saber damage
  • Defensive Buff removal (after Rank Up)

Cons:

  • No NP charge skill
  • No hard defensive skill
  • NP / Star gain rates on cards hampered by low hit counts
Altria Pendragon

Pros:

  • Now has an NP Gauge Charge (30%)
  • Extremely high AoE Buster Saber damage
  • Upcoming Rank Up quest further strengthens Buster performance and NP Damage, plus the ability to turn all her cards into Buster Cards
  • The Original from which the rest of the Altrias have spawned, and the face of the FGO icon
  • In Melty Blood Type Lumina

Cons:

  • No hard defensive skill
  • Somewhat underwhelming damage outside of burst turn pre-Rank Up
Mordred

Pros:

  • Solid AoE Buster Saber damage
  • Has an NP Gauge charger (30%)
  • Self Debuff Clear
  • Niche anti-Altria damage bonus
  • Star Gather + Crit Damage Buffs from recent Rank Up
  • Miyuki Sawashiro

Cons:

  • No hard defensive skill
  • Niche anti-Altria damage bonus
Arjuna

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill (25%)
  • Gets a Rank Up that further gives 10% NP Gauge per turn
  • Debuff Immunity
  • Decent Survivability with HP Recovery per Turn

  • No hard defensive skill
  • Somewhat middling AoE Buster Archer damage
  • High skill cooldowns
Orion

Pros:

  • Strong ST Arts Archer against Males
  • Hard Defensive skill (Evade)
  • Tanky 1 turn DEF skill
  • Miyuki Sawashiro

Cons:

  • No NP charge skill
  • Somewhat poor NP Gain on normal Cards
  • Poor damage outside burst or without trait bonus
  • Other Strong 3* Arts ST Archer with arguably better performance in Anti-Male niche (Euryale)
Napoleon

Pros:

  • Strong Team Offensive Support
  • High AoE Buster Archer damage
  • Ignore Invincibility skill
  • Ignore DEF
  • NP Gauge Charge (30%)
  • Anti-Divine damage bonus

Cons:

  • No hard defensive skill, and no defensive skills at all for that matter
  • Middling NP Gain
Enkidu

Pros:

  • Excellent anti-Divine boss solo potential - Stun for Divine enemies via NP
  • Hard defensive skill (Evade)
  • Debuff clear
  • Extremely high HP Recovery
  • High NP Damage
  • Best Clay

Cons:

  • Mediocre Card damage
  • Difficult to place in teams, often plays more effectively solo
Karna

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill (25%)
  • NP Seal skill
  • Anti-Divine damage bonus

Cons:

  • No hard defensive skill
  • Crit star generation without reliable star gather
Bradamante

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill that's ally targetable (20%) with Debuff Clear
  • Skadi Loops (with some difficulty; requires MLB Kaleidoscope)
  • Hard defensive option (Guts)

Cons:

  • Mediocre damage
  • Poor NP Gain outside of NP Card
  • Strong 4* AoE Quick Lancer competition
Achilles

Pros:

  • NP Charge Skill (30%)
  • Skadi Loops
  • Hard defensive option (Invincible)
  • Taunt Support

Cons:

  • Values provided by own Offensive buffs are only mediocre
Europa

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill (30%)
  • Hard defensive option (Invincible)
  • Charm and lockdown for all enemies
  • Can reach 100% Debuff Resist

Cons:

  • Chance based Charm
  • Lack of specialty due to both Offensive and Defensive tools
Ozymandias

Pros:

  • Party NP Charge (20%)
  • Offensive Support
  • NP Seal
  • Upcoming Rank Up provides him with further Crit Support, along with Skill Cooldown reduction for himself

Cons:

  • No hard defensive option
  • Chance-based buffs (partially mitigated by his Buff Success Rate buff, which isn't always convenient due to their different skill cooldown lengths)
Francis Drake

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill (50%)
  • ATK and NP damage support for allies
  • Ignore Invincible
  • Upcoming Rank Up provides her with additional damage + Ignore DEF

Cons:

  • No hard defensive option
Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill (50%)
  • ST Stun skill
  • Ignore Invincible
  • ATK support for allies

Cons:

  • No hard defensive option
  • Mediocre damage
  • Somewhat long skill cooldowns
Xuanzang Sanzang

Pros:

  • A relatively rare coveted ST Buster Caster option
  • NP Charge skill (80%!)
  • Debuff Immunity for the entire party (along with minor NP Gain and Star Drop buffs)
  • Taunt Support
  • Will get a Rank up that also gives her the ability to buff the party's ATK

Cons:

  • No hard defensive option
  • Somewhat limited damage without Support
Caster of the Nightless City

Pros:

  • Party Guts
  • Stall potential via NP Drain and Charm (Male only)
  • Receives a Rank Up that gives her a much needed NP Charge skill (30%)

Cons:

  • Niche anti-King damage bonus is rare, and damage somewhat poor outside of niche
Zhuge Liang (El-Melloi II)

Pros:

  • Excellent broad support for all types of offensive Servants for both ATK and Crit
  • High party NP Gauge charge (50% for one target, 20% for all party members)
  • Defensive and stalling potential

Cons:

  • Don't need extra copies if already owned (NP2 or higher does not provide substantial benefit)
  • No hard defensive option
Tamamo-no-Mae

Pros:

  • Staple in Arts Teams with extremely potent Arts and NP damage buffs
  • Skill Cooldown reduction
  • Healing support
  • NP Gauge support via NP
  • Ability to contribute to team stalling potential

Cons:

  • Don't need extra copies if already owned (NP2 or higher does not provide substantial benefit)
  • Slow NP Gain, needs assistance to get NP started
  • No hard defensive option
Osakabehime

Pros:

  • NP Charge skill that's ally targetable (20%)
  • Buff Removal on skill
  • Quick/Buster and Crit damage support for allies
  • Multitude of stackable Defense buffs along with Max HP Up makes for decent durability
  • Solo potential

  • Requires specific teams, or otherwise she often works better solo
Jack the Ripper

  • Strong ST Quick Assassin damage, especially vs Female
  • Excellent NP Gain and Star Drop Rate on Cards

  • No Crit support skills despite high star generation, external support required to fully take advantage of crits
Vlad III

Pros:

  • Strong ST Arts Berserker damage

  • Decent defense buffs
  • Hard defensive option (Guts)
  • Stall potential via NP Drain
  • Will receive another NP Rank Up which further increases his NP damage

Xiang Yu

Pros:

  • AoE Quick Berserker damage
  • Skadi Looping (with difficulty)
  • Strong Critical Potential
